On Wednesday, I excitedly showed up to the convention center early around noon to prepare for the 5:30pm Preview Night. My wife, Cheli dropped me off and then drove away with the children to the San Diego Zoo. Inside Comic-Con, you could see that there was still alot of work needed to ready all of the booths. I found my table marked COSMIC COMICS GROUP in the Small Press area and began to set up my table.
I had the privilege to be placed beside a Comic-Con veteran, a wonderful comic book creator and all around great guy, Randy Reynaldo! Randy is the creator of the comic book ROB HANES ADVENTURES. Here is Randy’s website: http://www.wcgcomics.com/ along with a photo of Rany’s booth and family.
The afternoon was spent chatting with Randy and watching the Con getting ready for opening. When Preview night began, most fans spent their time rushing to booths that had free things or the latest exclusive toy. The Peanuts booth nearby had a long line all evening. Not too many people ventured into the Small Press on Preview Night. But, I did manage to make one sell of the book this evening, my first sale of Comic-Con which I photographed along with a smattering of costumes and displays, knowing the full crowds and more costumes awaited beginning on Thursday! – – – -Rob
